Eight-ball is a cue sport played on a rectangular table with six pockets along the rails, into which balls are deposited. The game is played with sixteen balls: a white cue ball and fifteen object balls, consisting of seven striped balls, seven solid-colored balls, and a black ball. The objective of the game is to pocket all of the balls of one’s assigned group (either solids or stripes) and then pocket the black ball.
